Step-by-step walkthrough

  1. Cross the upper pools together

Head right from the upper-left start. Fireboy jumps over both blue pools and walks through orange lava. Watergirl jumps over the orange pool; jump straight up while standing in each blue pool for the high blue diamonds. Make each running jump from the dry edge, then cross the gap onto the separate upper-right island. Watergirl waits here after collecting its blue diamond.

  2. Send Fireboy down the inside route

Fireboy steps LEFT off the upper-right island, lands beside the tiny ledge, then moves right for the orange diamond below the island. Turn left along the lava floor. Jump for its high orange diamonds. Near the middle, jump onto the small hanging stone ledge before continuing left; the passage underneath is too low to walk through.

  3. Turn off the sideways fan

Fireboy drops around the far-left end of the lava floor. Follow the next walkway right and walk past the red lever to switch the fan OFF. Continue over the central crests, jumping for the orange diamond. Drop right onto the lower inner ledge for the next orange diamond, then wait.

  4. Bring Watergirl down the outside

Watergirl jumps RIGHT from the upper-right island toward the dry lip beside the small lava pool. Stay against the far-right wall while descending to the dry slope at the right edge of the long lava basin below. From that edge, jump LEFT over the lava into the chamber with the now-stopped sideways fan. Collect the blue diamond.

  5. Collect the outer blue diamond

Watergirl steps off the LEFT edge of the fan chamber onto the lower inner ledge. Walk right up its sloping tip, then keep moving right across the short gap for the blue diamond near the outside stairs. Walking off this edge gives the correct drop; jumping hits the low ceiling. Fireboy follows right from the lower inner ledge.

  6. Return left above the goo

Both heroes descend the outer-right stairs, turn left, and follow the lowest route. Use separate jumps from one dry landing to the next across the purple goo. Watergirl collects the high blue diamond above the larger stone toward the left. Let each landing settle before the next jump.

  7. Finish at the lower-left doors

Continue left from the last dry stone onto the exit floor. Fireboy stops at the orange door and Watergirl at the blue door farther left. There are fourteen optional diamonds for a perfect clear; both heroes must reach their matching doors.

This route was verified in the game simulation using player controls, required diamonds, and both matching exits. It describes this version’s independently reconstructed room, not an official walkthrough.

How this room’s mechanisms work

  • Switch 1

    middle left

Walk past the handle, or use it nearby: Enter for Fireboy, E for Watergirl, or the touch Use button. Each use toggles it; it stays set after you leave.

    Controls Fan 1.

  • Fan 1

    middle right

At least one of these inputs must be active: Switch 1.

The air current pushes right. Stay in the stream until you can move onto a dry landing.

If you get stuck

Check the unfinished objective

The diamonds in this room are optional. If you only want to finish, bring both heroes fully inside their own matching doors.

You cannot recover safely

Pause and choose Restart level to reset both heroes, diamonds, weights, and switches. Previously completed levels stay saved. Follow the step order before moving a box or releasing a weight.
