This version of Fireboy and Watergirl is a free independent cooperative puzzle platformer for one or two people controlling two heroes, developed and maintained by AppsOverFlow. Work together through elemental puzzles on one device or in an online room.

What belongs to this version

The code, temple artwork, and animated characters were created for this independent adaptation. This independent adaptation has 255 authored room layouts across 7 campaigns. All 255 rooms have verified completion walkthroughs. Verification means a controls-only simulation reached both exits; it does not mean every room has been tested by a new human player. This is an independent adaptation, not an official release. It does not include extracted original level files or artwork.

Teamwork opens every door.

Two elemental beings cooperate by opening routes, operating mechanisms, and meeting at their matching doors. Play on the same keyboard, on touch devices, or in an online room across two devices.

Progress and privacy

Campaign completion is saved in the current browser. Online rooms use anonymous Firebase sessions; there is no account form. Cookieless game measurement starts by default. Analytics cookies and advertising remain optional in Cookie settings. See the privacy policy for details.
