Step-by-step walkthrough

  1. Open Cyan from the left

Fireboy leaves the starting shelf to the left. Jump over the upper blue pool, drop to the shelf at the far-left wall, and jump right over the second blue pool. Continue right to the Cyan lever. Walk through it once and leave it on.

  2. Climb Watergirl’s right-hand steps

Watergirl walks right off her starting shelf, then jumps up the narrow steps near the right wall: first the small upper shelf, then the higher right ledge, and finally left onto the roof above Cyan. The lowered Cyan panel leaves room to jump left into the rolling-weight chamber.

  3. Release the rolling weight

Approach the ball from the right along the sloping floor. Keep moving left against its upper-right surface until it rolls through the short opening beside its ledge. Let it fall through the middle shaft onto the right pulley. Watergirl stays in the upper chamber; she does not follow the ball through its small opening.

  4. Return to the white diamond

Watergirl returns right across Cyan, drops around the right end of the upper ledges, and reaches the lower far-right stepping stone. Jump left via the two small stones. Fireboy walks away from Cyan and back through it to turn it off, lowering the tall right panel. Watergirl jumps onto its top and then left into the blue pool to collect the white diamond.

  5. Open the lower return passage

Watergirl jumps back right out of the pool, crosses the lowered panel and lands on the nearby stone. Drop left onto the sloping lower bank. Fireboy walks through Cyan again to open the passage below the panel. Watergirl moves left through it and jumps left across the small red pool from the bank’s edge.

  6. Counterbalance the lower pulley

Fireboy leaves Cyan to the left and drops onto the right side of the crate’s pulley. Stay beside the crate. Watergirl climbs the stone at the right end of the lower pulley shaft, then jumps left onto the right deck beside the ball.

  7. Send the ball to Green immediately

As soon as Watergirl lands, keep moving left to push the ball off the deck and down the sloping passage. Waiting on the deck lowers it too far beneath the stone lip. The ball rolls to Green at the bottom left and stays there, lowering the green exit panel.

  8. Put the crate on Red

Fireboy pushes the crate left off his pulley and onto Red below. The crate holds Red while the horizontal bridge slides left. Watergirl jumps right to the sloping takeoff beside the shaft, then jumps up and left onto the extended bridge.

  9. Return Watergirl across the pulley

From the right end of the bridge, jump mostly upward before steering left onto the left pulley. Jump left to the small stone above the purple pool. From there, jump up and left toward the lowered Green panel and the far-left shaft.

  10. Bring both heroes to their doors

Watergirl walks left off the green-passage ledge and drops to the bottom floor. Fireboy leaves the left pulley, jumps to the same small stone above the purple pool, and follows through Green. Fireboy enters the red door and Watergirl walks right along the bottom floor to the blue door. Either matching door may be entered first.

This route was verified in the game simulation using player controls, required diamonds, and both matching exits. It describes this version’s independently reconstructed room, not an official walkthrough.

How this room’s mechanisms work

  • Switch 1

    lower left

Keep a hero or movable weight on this plate to keep its signal active. Stepping off releases it.

    Controls Moving platform 1.

  • Switch 2

    middle center

Walk past the handle, or use it nearby: Enter for Fireboy, E for Watergirl, or the touch Use button. Each use toggles it; it stays set after you leave.

Controls Moving platform 2 and Moving platform 3.

  • Switch 3

    lower left

Keep a hero or movable weight on this plate to keep its signal active. Stepping off releases it.

    Controls Moving platform 4.

  • Moving platform 1

    middle left

At least one of these inputs must be active: Switch 1.

When powered, it moves down; when power is released, it returns.

  • Moving platform 2

    upper right

At least one of these inputs must be active: Switch 2.

When powered, it moves down; when power is released, it returns.

  • Moving platform 3

    lower right

At least one of these inputs must be active: Switch 2.

When powered, it moves up; when power is released, it returns.

  • Moving platform 4

    lower center

At least one of these inputs must be active: Switch 3.

When powered, it moves left; when power is released, it returns.

  • Moving platform 5

    middle left

The relative weight on its connected platforms drives this platform.

Loading one side of the pulley pair lowers that side and raises the other.

  • Moving platform 6

    lower center

The relative weight on its connected platforms drives this platform.

Loading one side of the pulley pair lowers that side and raises the other.

  • Stone box 1

    middle left

Walk against its side to push it along its supporting surface.

A box can provide a step, load a counterweighted lift, or hold a pressure plate where the room’s layout allows. Follow the room route before moving it.

  • Rolling stone 1

    upper center

Push from the side to start it rolling. Slopes and gravity then guide its motion.

A rolling stone can hold a pressure plate. Follow the walkthrough’s order before releasing stones into their channels.

If you get stuck

Check the unfinished objective

Count the ring-marked diamonds still visible. All 1 are required before both matching doors can finish this room; each hero collects their own color.

A gate or platform moved back

A pressure plate releases when its rider or weight leaves. Keep your partner on it until you are safely across. Levers stay set after you leave; check their ON or OFF state before crossing.

A pulley is moving the wrong way

Loading one platform lowers that side and raises its partner. Shift the riders or movable weight as described in the route. A thin lift does not protect you from a dangerous pool when it sinks into the liquid.

You missed a moving platform

Return to safe ground and use the connected switch to bring it back. Board before your partner releases the plate or changes the lever. Avoid jumping into its underside; line up with the open shaft first.

You cannot recover safely

Pause and choose Restart level to reset both heroes, diamonds, weights, and switches. Previously completed levels stay saved. Follow the step order before moving a box or releasing a weight.

How do you finish The Weight Relay?

Roll the upper weight into the lower pulley, collect the white diamond with Watergirl, then use the weight on Green and the crate on Red to bring both heroes to the left-hand doors. Collect all 1 ring-marked diamond, then bring Fireboy to the orange exit in the lower left and Watergirl to the blue exit in the lower left. Both heroes must be at their own doors together.

How many diamonds are required in The Weight Relay?

1 diamond: 1 for either hero. 1 ring-marked diamond is required to finish.

Which hazards are in The Weight Relay?
