The Twin Balances

Use the crate, both seesaws and the paired lifts to reach both matching exits. This verified exit route collects 5 of the room’s 14 optional diamonds; it is not a perfect-clear route.

Level objective

Bring Fireboy to the orange exit in the lower right and Watergirl to the blue exit in the lower right. Both heroes must be at their own doors together. The 14 unmarked diamonds are optional; collect every diamond for a perfect clear.

Step-by-step walkthrough

  1. Climb the outside staircase

Keep Fireboy at the start. Take Watergirl left onto the purple bridge, then use separate alternating jumps between the outside ledges and the ledges to their right. Begin the climb slightly right of the lowest overhang. Reach the roof and walk all the way across it.

  2. Reach the upper seesaw from the right

Drop down the outside right wall, alternating inward and outward around its ledges. This collects the two blue diamonds down that side. From the main floor, walk left onto the low right end of the upper seesaw, cross its pivot and wait on its left half.

  3. Push the crate across the balance

With Watergirl lowering the beam’s left end, have Fireboy push the crate to the foot of the beam, stopping before he reaches her. Move Watergirl across to the right end, then have Fireboy push the tilting crate past the central pivot. As it approaches Watergirl, jump her left over the crate and wait near the middle of the beam. Fireboy follows the sliding crate right and pushes it onto the purple pressure plate against the far-right wall. Leave the crate there.

  4. Return to the open shaft

Bring Fireboy left along the main floor and wait beneath the left stone shelf. Move Watergirl onto the left half of the beam and let it tilt down. Have Fireboy walk right onto the lowered beam, then return left underneath the shelf and drop through the open purple bridge. Watergirl follows down the same shaft.

  5. Board both paired platforms

On the bottom floor, take Fireboy right and jump onto the low platform between the two tall dividers. Keep him there. Watergirl approaches the small lower-left shelf from its right, jumps straight up and then steers left onto it. From there, jump upward before steering right onto the next shelf, then jump onto the left pulley platform. These jumps collect two more blue diamonds.

  6. Raise Fireboy by jumping

Keep Watergirl on the left pulley. Have Fireboy jump straight up five times, landing on his platform between presses. His brief absence lets Watergirl’s weight lower her platform and raise his. This also collects the orange diamond in the lift shaft. Jump right onto the top of the narrow divider, then walk onto the left half of the lower seesaw and wait for it to lower.

  7. Weight the final beam and finish

Bring Watergirl from her lowered pulley onto the far-left end of the lower seesaw. Keep her there while Fireboy crosses the beam to its raised right half, then jumps right onto the ledge holding his orange exit. Finally walk Watergirl right along the beam and down to the blue exit on the bottom floor. Both exits finish the room with 5 of 14 diamonds.

This route was verified in the game simulation using player controls, required diamonds, and both matching exits. It describes this version’s independently reconstructed room, not an official walkthrough.

How this room’s mechanisms work

  • Switch 1

    middle right

Keep a hero or movable weight on this plate to keep its signal active. Stepping off releases it.

    Controls Moving platform 1.

  • Moving platform 1

    middle left

At least one of these inputs must be active: Switch 1.

When powered, it moves right; when power is released, it returns.

  • Moving platform 2

    lower left

The relative weight on its connected platforms drives this platform.

Loading one side of the pulley pair lowers that side and raises the other.

  • Moving platform 3

    lower center

The relative weight on its connected platforms drives this platform.

Loading one side of the pulley pair lowers that side and raises the other.

  • Hanging plank 1

    middle center

Its position responds to the weight and position of riders.

Balance on the hanging plank, then jump to the next dry ledge.

  • Hanging plank 2

    lower right

Its position responds to the weight and position of riders.

Balance on the hanging plank, then jump to the next dry ledge.

  • Stone box 1

    middle left

Walk against its side to push it along its supporting surface.

A box can provide a step, load a counterweighted lift, or hold a pressure plate where the room’s layout allows. Follow the room route before moving it.

If you get stuck

Check the unfinished objective

The diamonds in this room are optional. If you only want to finish, bring both heroes fully inside their own matching doors.

A gate or platform moved back

A pressure plate releases when its rider or weight leaves. Keep your partner on it until you are safely across. Levers stay set after you leave; check their ON or OFF state before crossing.

A pulley is moving the wrong way

Loading one platform lowers that side and raises its partner. Shift the riders or movable weight as described in the route. A thin lift does not protect you from a dangerous pool when it sinks into the liquid.

You missed a moving platform

Return to safe ground and use the connected switch to bring it back. Board before your partner releases the plate or changes the lever. Avoid jumping into its underside; line up with the open shaft first.

You cannot recover safely

Pause and choose Restart level to reset both heroes, diamonds, weights, and switches. Previously completed levels stay saved. Follow the step order before moving a box or releasing a weight.
