Step-by-step walkthrough

  1. Cross the lower elemental pools

Fireboy starts below Watergirl. Watergirl walks off the right end of her starting ledge. Head right: Fireboy walks through orange lava and jumps over blue water, while Watergirl jumps over orange lava and walks through blue water. Collect the matching diamonds above the pools.

  2. Climb the right wall

Stand just LEFT of the small right-wall step. Jump straight UP, then steer right near the top of the jump to land on it. Fireboy walks to the far-right orange diamond. Both heroes then jump LEFT onto the higher walkway. Steering toward the wall too early can hit the step’s underside.

  3. Return left across the goo

Walk left to the dry bank beside the purple pool, then jump LEFT over it. Both heroes must avoid goo. Watergirl collects the blue diamond on the sloping return path. Continue left toward the yellow lever.

  4. Open the yellow passage

Walk past the yellow lever to turn it ON. The tall yellow barrier lowers below the walkway, opening the passage to the left. If the second hero switches it OFF when passing, cross the lever again to leave it ON. Wait for the barrier to lower before both heroes pass left.

  5. Climb the left ledges

At the left wall, stand on the low raised ledge. Jump straight UP, then steer RIGHT onto the pointed end of the next shelf. Follow the slope right onto the middle walkway. Fireboy collects its orange diamond.

  6. Take turns on the purple lift

One hero holds the lower purple plate. The partner walks right, collecting the blue diamond, and steps onto the lowered purple lift at the far wall. Step off the lower plate to raise the rider. The upper hero walks LEFT onto the upper purple plate, lowering the lift for the partner. Once the partner boards, step off to bring them up.

  7. Push the square block left

Follow the upper corridor left and push the block from its RIGHT side. Keep pushing left until the block is below the tall left ledge. The box drops from the central raised platform onto the corridor below; keep following it.

  8. Climb to the last diamonds and exits

Each hero jumps onto the box, then LEFT onto the tall ledge. Watergirl goes to the left wall for her last blue diamond. Jump RIGHT from the ledge onto the small upper shelf. Fireboy collects its orange diamond. Follow the top path right to the matching red and blue exits. All eight diamonds are optional for finishing and required for a perfect clear.

This route was verified in the game simulation using player controls, required diamonds, and both matching exits. It describes this version’s independently reconstructed room, not an official walkthrough.

How this room’s mechanisms work

  • Switch 1

    lower left

Walk past the handle, or use it nearby: Enter for Fireboy, E for Watergirl, or the touch Use button. Each use toggles it; it stays set after you leave.

    Controls Moving platform 1.

  • Switch 2

    middle left

Keep a hero or movable weight on this plate to keep its signal active. Stepping off releases it.

    Controls Moving platform 2.

  • Switch 3

    middle right

Keep a hero or movable weight on this plate to keep its signal active. Stepping off releases it.

    Controls Moving platform 2.

  • Moving platform 1

    middle left

At least one of these inputs must be active: Switch 1.

When powered, it moves down; when power is released, it returns. It waits 0.75 seconds before returning.

  • Moving platform 2

    middle right

At least one of these inputs must be active: Switch 2 and Switch 3.

When powered, it moves down; when power is released, it returns.

  • Stone box 1

    upper center

Walk against its side to push it along its supporting surface.

A box can provide a step, load a counterweighted lift, or hold a pressure plate where the room’s layout allows. Follow the room route before moving it.

If you get stuck

Check the unfinished objective

The diamonds in this room are optional. If you only want to finish, bring both heroes fully inside their own matching doors.

A gate or platform moved back

A pressure plate releases when its rider or weight leaves. Keep your partner on it until you are safely across. Levers stay set after you leave; check their ON or OFF state before crossing.

You missed a moving platform

Return to safe ground and use the connected switch to bring it back. Board before your partner releases the plate or changes the lever. Avoid jumping into its underside; line up with the open shaft first.

You cannot recover safely

Pause and choose Restart level to reset both heroes, diamonds, weights, and switches. Previously completed levels stay saved. Follow the step order before moving a box or releasing a weight.
